Technical Specifications - OTSDJ (Pro) – This is the software we use to program the music 24/7
- We have one stream for iTunes (mp3) that goes out in three different bitrates. One for Shoutcast (mp3), and a separate one for the iTunes app (AAC).
- We use Edcast as our encoder.
- The computer we use is a Dell XPS720. It runs on the Windows Vista OS.
- We use a Shoutcast widget that allows anyone to listen to us on mobile devices.
- We use a Shoutcast server for our streams.
- We just created our own app which is available free at the iTunes store.
- We have a Myspace page (myspace.com/somaradio).
- You can also find us on the iTunes page under College Radio Stations.
- Our stream is located at http://somaice.sbcc.edu:8000/somaradio128k.mp3.
